We were strolling downtown had just arrived and wanted solid drinks and a snack and stumbled upon Forbes and it was phenomenal!! From Austin, 5 wings for 7 was unheard of and so glad I got them. They also have really good ranch which if you know, you know. We had quite a few mint lemonades and they were yum!! The Buffalo flatbread was very good with a buttery crust- awesome. The French onion soup was easily the best part and wow blew me away! This place was perfect- dark, relaxing, cozy, a dive bar to catch up with a friend of 20 years. Highly recommend!!

It's absolutely an awesome place for lunch. I googled "Pittsburgh salad near me" and ended up here for a lunch. The Pittsburgh salad delivered as it was a big portion. The beers on tap seemed to go on forever and the staff here were super friendly. The service was quick and the chicken was packed with flavor and wasn't overcooked. I love how this gave a pub feel and it felt like a different place that wasn't downtown Pittsburgh.

Great food! Great customer service especially from Leah, Maria and Darryl and very friendly and personable. The atmosphere is family friendly and they are always so welcoming.

We enjoyed our dinner there. The space is so cozy and nice. You wouldn’t expect that place in downtown. The food was great, I got the Tavern Burger and it was really delicious. The sauce was so tasty. Definitely go back and try other stuff there!

I went during happy hour for take out. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the service was great and I was highly impressed with the food. I didn’t get a drink but I’m sure that would’ve been amazing as well. I ordered dry Cajun wings and pretzel bites, the honey mustard that came with the pretzels wasn’t favorable for me but it was unique and different. I would definitely come back.

If you like Lot 17, you're sure to like Forbes Tavern as well. Amazing food and quality drinks make for a good time - the mint cocktail they had during light up night was SO good. Their wings are killer too!

They make some a really great old fashioned here. It was small inside, but I had no issues getting a table on a Sunday evening. We started with the fried goat cheese balls, and they were decent, but I'm not sure I'd try them again. We also tried the French onion soup, which was great. The Tavern burger and margarita pizza were both excellent. The hot sausage was good, but nothing to write home about. We would stop back in on our next trip.
